Lessons from my first box match


If you really want to test yourself I can recommend to try a boxing match.

I did my first one after a few years of training.

The interesting part about it is that you get to know yourself a bit better.

Some examples: how do I feel and react when I’m in a situation where I have to fight?

Am I nervous, or can I act relaxed?

What happens when somebody punches me for real?

Of course, I have sparred many times, but sparring is different from a match.

For myself, I learned that I can still be relaxed, but I certainly found out that it’s a different feeling than sparring.

Also, I learned that if somebody pressures me, I’m ready to fire back.

Some valuable lessons for myself.
