On April 21, 2026 Google Ads will once again accept certification applications from online gambling providers targeting Australia.
New Zealand policy
In April 2026, the country-specifics of the Healthcare and medicines policy will be updated to allow telemedicine providers to promote prescription drug services in New Zealand.
Policy update India
In April 2026, Google Ads will update its Healthcare and medicines policy for India.
Certified online pharmacies will be allowed to promote prescription drug services, provided they obtain certification through LegitScript’s Healthcare Merchant Certification Program and apply separately to Google.
However, advertisers targeting India will still not be permitted to promote prescription drugs directly in ads or on landing pages. Applications will open once the policy update is implemented.
New page just dropped from Google
Google has introduced a brand-new onboarding experience for the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) inside Merchant Center.
This is a big step toward “agentic commerce” where users can discover and buy products directly within AI experiences like Search and Gemini, without leaving the interface.
Key highlights:
• New UCP onboarding flow (rolling out gradually in the U.S.)
• Invite-only access for now
• Sandbox testing for checkout + integrations
• Merchant Center becomes the hub for managing UCP readiness
This signals where commerce is heading: AI-assisted discovery → instant checkout.
Results tab
Arpan Banerjee discovered that the Results Tab Now Available in Google Ads with Recommendations.
Big update from Meta
They’ve released an official Meta Pixel template in Google Tag Manager
Key benefits:
– Reuse your existing GA4 dataLayer
– Automatic mapping of Enhanced Ecommerce events
– No need for duplicate tracking (Purchase, AddToCart, ViewContent, InitiateCheckout)
