Reality in 2026?
Attribution is a system.
Because customers don’t convert in one step.
They:
→ see an ad
→ click later
→ compare options
→ come back
→ convert
And every platform claims the credit.
The biggest mistake I still see:
People trust one dashboard.
Meta says one thing.
Google says another.
Neither shows the full picture.
Why?
Because:
• Platforms are biased toward themselves
• Most tracking is incomplete
• Last-click ignores the real journey
The real advantage comes from:
• Looking at blended data (not platform data)
• Understanding multi-touch journeys
• Tracking beyond just clicks
• Connecting online + offline data
Attribution isn’t about finding the “perfect” model.
It’s about making better decisions.
