Full Search Live version on mobile

Barry Schwartz posted that Google is rolling out the full version of Search Live now with video support on mobile in the U.S. this week for users in the AI Mode Labs experiment.

First demoed at Google I/O in May, and after launching the audio-only version last month, this update adds live video integration via the camera.

Search Live works through Google Lens. Users can open Lens in the Google app, tap the Live icon, and start a real-time conversation with Search while pointing their camera at objects.

This enables context-aware answers based on what’s visible in the live feed, such as different angles or moving items.

Originally limited to voice-only conversations, the feature now combines visual input with AI-powered dialogue, allowing more dynamic and helpful search interactions.
