I’ve seen an email circulating that claims:
“OpenAI Advertising, LLC has invited you to test OpenAI Advertising GPT”
with a TestFlight link and promises of ad credits.
This is not a legitimate OpenAI product.
Red flags:
“OpenAI Advertising, LLC” is not an official OpenAI entity
OpenAI does not invite people to test products via random TestFlight emails
No official announcement, no OpenAI domain, no verification
Classic tactic: brand impersonation + TestFlight + “credits” incentive
If you receive this:
– Don’t click the TestFlight link
– Don’t install the app
– Don’t reply to the email
– Report it as phishing / impersonation
