Google has uploaded a new guide for the automatically created Google Analytics 4 properties (source).

Google is again sending new emails with the alert that you need to set up GA4! In this message, they are also saying that the best set-up is a customized set-up. So don’t let Google fix your setup automatically.

You can opt-out for this upgrade at admin > GA4 set up assistant > disable automatically set up GA4.

Do you want early access to new features in GA4? Sign up for Google Analytics ALPHA program. If you don’t want to skew your data use the property ID of a test property!

If you don’t create a new GA4 property Google will do it for you. They will use the old tag to gather data for GA4. You can opted out for this automatic upgrade. If you do not have GA4 it is better to implement it directly! So that you can compare data with UA. Also
