The Digital Marketing Act came into force on Tuesday!

This law focuses on companies that:
– have at least 45 million, monthly active users
– have a market value of 75 billion

Some parts of this law:
– users should be able to uninstall pre-installed apps on their phone
– companies must open up chat services so that users of different services can chat with each other
– companies are not allowed to favor their own services (set Chrome as the default browser)
– data from different platforms may not simply be combined
– tech platforms may not force developers to use certain services in order to be allowed to be in an app store.
