iOS 26 is live, and nothing has changed

Apple has officially released iOS 26 with its big “Liquid Glass” redesign a system-wide UI refresh with translucent elements across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more.

The update also brings live translation in Messages and FaceTime, redesigned core apps like Phone and Messages, and usability tweaks across Safari, Wallet, Maps, and CarPlay.

But here’s the key update for advertisers and analysts:

– gclid is still present by default. It only disappears if users manually enable Safari Advanced Tracking & Fingerprinting Protection for “All Browsing.”

– gbraid remains available, even in Private Browsing meaning attribution still works even if gclid were removed in the future.

Also note that Google is already prepared for a world where gclid isn’t always present. Enhanced Conversions for web and leads help fill gaps through logged-in signals and modelling.

Bottom line: Nothing has changed in Safari. No need to panic, your tracking continues to work.
