New WARC data shows that Google’s search revenue grew by 11.5% year-on-year in Q2 2025.
That’s well above the 7.8% growth forecast for the same quarter.
Meanwhile, the overall paid search market is on a downward trend, dropping from 12.4% YoY growth in Q1 2024 to just 7.5% projected in Q2 2025.
Despite this, Google continues to outperform both market expectations and broader search growth.
What this tells us:
– Search remains a high-performing channel, even in more cautious economic conditions
– Google is expanding its dominance in the search ad space (now estimated at over 85% market share)
