Google is introducing new search experiences in the EEA

Google is introducing new search experiences in European Economic Area (EEA) countries, aiming to provide users with rich and relevant information for their searches.

This includes:

– Carousel rich results: Displaying structured data in the markup of a web page, these results will show graphical elements such as prices, ratings, and images for entities related to travel, local, and shopping queries.

– Aggregator units: Dedicated units that showcase top aggregator results for various types of queries like places, jobs, flights, and products. Users can click “More sites” to explore additional relevant aggregator sites.

– Refinement chips: These chips, like “Places sites,” help users focus search results on aggregator text results. Users can activate them at the top of the search results page or through the new aggregator units.

These experiences are currently available only in the EEA. Businesses in the EEA can express interest in these new features by filling out the applicable form.
