Google has stated that changing the ROAS should not trigger a learning phase.
Smarter Ecommerce (smec) made an awesome research and chart about changing the ROAS and the impact. After doing this research they gave the following tips:
– campaigns with less than 60 monthly conversions are more volatile
– tROAS changes of + 30% are not recommended
– tROAS handles ROAS decreases better than increases
– changes for Peak Season should be started early enough or handled with seasonality adjustments
– don’t change ROAS too often
