The rumors are true! Google will implement AI-generated answers in search! These answers will appear above Google’s search results. Google will have ads in the new version of the search engine! These ads won’t have any tracking that shows if the ads impressions and clicks are coming from the normal Google Search or the new Google Search. Advertisers won’t be able to opt out of showing ads in this version.

In the latest blog item from Search Central Google said that x-default is potentially underused by sites that already use hreflang. X-default is used to “specify the language and region-neutral URL for a piece of content when the site doesn’t support the user’s language and region” So x-default can send a user to a specific version
