Google has announced some new search ads tool:

– automatically created assets are available to all advertisers in English as an open beta

– Google rolled out a new customer acquisition goal for Search campaigns globally

For the automatically created assets, Google is also making some improvements:

– Ad Strength will take both automatically created assets and your existing assets

– Automatically created assets will use inputs you’ve provided and improve their relevance to the query

– Ability to remove any automatically created assets(source).

Google Ads targeting change

Search interest targeting and presence or interest exclusion will no longer be available in Google Ads. This update will start in March(source).

“A new way to buy and measure YouTube’s masthead”

Today Google announced the launch of the YouTube Cost-Per-Hour (CPH) Masthead.

This new option gives advertisers the chance to buy advertisement space during the hours around priority moments.

Also, Google is bringing new measurement capabilities for the masthead.

“In markets where the measurement partners permit, Nielsen and Kantar can now measure CPM masthead campaign reach. Kantar, Dynata, and Intage can measure brand lift, and Integral Ad Science (IAS) can measure viewability”

Besides this new measurement option advertisers can also get the option to measure CPM Masthead buys with Google Brand Lift(source).

New Google Ads Policy

Google is going to update two policies! The first one is that Google Ads is going to split the Malicious or unwanted software policy into 3 policies: malicious software, compromised sites, and unwanted software.

The second change is that the financial products & services policy will be updated.

This update helps to clarify the scope and requirements of financial products like crypto(source).

Testing new designs

Google is testing new designs! The top 3 changes are:

– new navigation menu

– reorganized interface (grouping tasks together & adding categories)

– new look and feel( more white space etc.)(source).
