Conversion credit for web conversions

You can now select which channels are eligible to receive conversion credit for web conversions shared with Google Ads.

The default setting for properties creating a link for the first time is Google paid channels.

If you want to see which channels are eligible for credit for each conversion then go to the conversion summary > conversions detail > Campaigns tabs in Google Ads, and in Attribution settings in Google Analytics.

You can change this setting at any time in Google Analytics(source).

Update data-driven attribution and last-click attribution

Google has pushed the update to data-driven attribution and last-click attribution to next month for Ads(source).

Google is testing new designs to improve the workflows in Google Ads. These tests are part of the new Google Ads menu that Google announced last week.

In this test reports such as the search terms, auctions insights, and more are moving to a new location(source).

Feed updates

During the last Google Academy video Google told advertisers again that from:

– the availability attribute is required instead of the quantity for local inventory ads and free local listings.

– from 1 September, Products that misuse out_of_stock availability will be disapproved.

These updates were already announced last week on the Merchant Center blog.
