YouTube bug

Yesterday Elisabetta Gallucci posted that there has been a bug for YouTube Ads this week where the spending would go too high.

Ginny Marvin tweeted yesterday that “The issue itself has been resolved. The team is currently assessing the impact & next steps. No further action is required from your end”

Attribution models

First click, linear, time decay, and position-based attribution models are going away… ? These models will all sunset in Google Ads & Google Analytics in September.

For newly created conversion actions these attribution models will no longer be available in:

– GA4 May

– Google Ads June(source).

YouTube updates

YouTube is announcing several updates:

– live reactions during live streams

– expanding the reach of posts to Android tablets and providing insights into the types of content viewers watch on other channels.

– ads automation that allows YouTube to determine the best time to insert

ads during a stream

– live control panel that provides stream stats and ad-serving capabilities(source).

Cross-channel is live

Matinique Roelse spotted this new notification in Google Ads.

This notification reflects the news from two weeks ago that told advertisers that Google is changing their non-direct click import to full cross-channel conversions!

Alfred Simon found this option in his experiment that automatically applies the experiment if the results are favorable.

GA4 regular expression

Yesterday Google announced that you can now modify and create events using regular expressions.

In my accounts, I didn’t find this new option so it looks like this rollout is not worldwide(source).
