Organize Keywords

Google announced the organize keyword planner a few months ago. Now Thomas Eccel spotted the organize keywords selection live in one of his accounts.

Video view campaign type live

Dario Zannoni found out that the new video view campaign subtype is now live in some accounts.

Video views were announced together with the Demand Generation campaign a few months ago.

Video views will give advertisers more views at a lower cost per view. Google can do this by showing videos across multiple ad formats.

YouTube policies

YouTube is again letting go of some policies to boost ad revenue opportunities for creators. This time the topics are Sexual and domestic abuse, Abortions, and Eating disorders can be monetized if you don’t go into detail.

Don’t know if this is a good idea because writing this just already gives me a weird feeling.

As an advertiser, this could impact your placements on YouTube. If YouTube keeps letting go of these policies this is definitely something you want to keep an eye on.

Account access update

Thomas Eccel found out that you can now invite users with an access expiration date. You can also set and directly subscribe them to emails like disapproved ads or campaign alerts.

New profit-biding AI system

Denie Geertzen tagged me in a post from Sergey Gordeev that announced that Google has released a new AI system that can help users with profit bidding similar to what we are familiar with from Profitmetrics.

The distinction between the two is that Google offers an open-source solution, which requires development, whereas Profitmetrics provides a plug-and-play solution for profit bidding.

Additionally, Profitmetrics takes into consideration factors such as discounts, free shipping, shipping costs, payment fees, etc.

Update the Healthcare and Medicines policy

Google is going to update the Healthcare and Medicines policy with :

– the language of the Prescription drug sale policy will be updated to clarify the scope, and the policy name will be changed to Prescription drug services on the 10th of October

– The France country-specifics of the Healthcare and medicines policy will be updated to allow LegitScript-certified telemedicine providers to promote their services in France from October 10, 2023.

New help page document Virtually try on clothes

Dario Zannoni found out that there is now a help page with feed requirements and best and best practices for [Virtually try on clothes]All brands with a shopping feed and high-quality images are opted into Try-on.

Requirements:

– high-resolution images that are at least 512 x 512 pixel

– The image should feature one garment on one front-facing model or mannequin in a simple pose.

Normally when Google drops these documents the feature is live or is coming live soon! For more information check this article.

Backend improvements Dynamic Ad Targets

On September 20, 2023, Google will start rolling out backend improvements on Google’s dynamic ad targets.

New CSS spotlight video

On 3 October Google is releasing a new CSS Spotlight video.

Google 360 error

Dimitri Dries uncovered an issue caused by the transition from the GA4 configuration tag to the Google tag tag.

He found out that in every GTM zone where the type restrictions toggle was enabled before this switch, the Google tag type is now disabled by default.

If your GTM zone consists of a GA4 implementation and has any type of restrictions enabled, your Google tag will not fire anymore. For more information check his post this post.

New auto-suggest GTM

Josh Silverbauer found out that the new Google Tag Template and Google Tag Event Variable in GTM have the ability to auto-suggest standard event parameter keys.

Attribution models

Keep in mind that the first click, linear, time decay, and position-based attribution models will be going away in October 2023!
