How enhanced conversions work

Sometimes pictures are better to explain how things work. But basically, enhanced conversions works like this:

You send data like an email to Google Ads, Google Ads securely can match that against anonymized Google Ads login data.

This information can be useful if Jane, who is being mentioned in this article visited the website before on her mobile.

Later that evening she decided to buy the product that she saw on her mobile and that she clicked on with an ad.

But this time she goes on her computer. So the cookie can’t measure…

Luckily we have enhanced conversions and she is logged in to her Gmail so Google can match that she visited the website through an ad on her mobile earlier that day(if logged into Google).

Now because you have installed enhanced conversion data, Google Ads can report a conversion:)
